Steps To Have Your Company Mascot Turned in to A Stuffed Toy
Getting Started is easy. You can jump straight in to production, after establishing a ballpark price, or you can order a prototype (sample) of your corporate mascot to determine the exact price as well as the look and feel. For pending deadline like an upcoming trade show, starting production immediately sometimes is the only way to ensure delivery.

Give me a call at 1-800-304-6642 or get a quote immediately online by clicking on 'Quotes'. I will give you a ballpark quote based on the size of your toy ( length x width x height), the complexity and the quantity range you're thinking about ordering. Pricing starts at 900 pieces and pricing gets better, per piece, from the quantity you order. My ballpark quotes are typically very close to the final confirmed price, unless significant changes are made during the design phase. The quote is based on thousands of toys I've made in the past. One reason the price will change dramatically from your ballpark quote to the confirmed price is when you select a very small size for a quote (example: 3" tall) and you want a lot of details that just aren't possible to fit in to a 3" toy. The design may require a 8" size, to allow for the details you want to be shown, and the price will change accordingly.| back to top |
Seeing your artwork (company logo, website character) will not help to establish a more accurate price normally, but it is helpful to see it so you and I can discuss any design features that may be an issue, be unsafe or will not be possible at low quantities. Your delivery time needs can be discussed as well. When you are comfortable with how we will move forward together you can move on to #3 and place your deposit.| back to top |
When you're comfortable with what I can do for you, you'll place a $500 deposit. This simply shows you're interested in moving forward. When you see the amount of work I'll be doing for you, you'll understand that the $500 is not to buy a prototype, but is simply a deposit to show you're interested in what I can do for you. My goal is to Wow you with my service and product.
The $500 deposit includes the services listed here. Please review the list of services, because it's important for you to understand what you will receive and what may be an additional charge. | place deposit |
My first preference of course is that your toy will arrive and you'll think it's perfect. That happens often, but at times you may want some changes. My first try at making your custom corporate mascot may not be perfect, since it will be the first time that product has ever been made before, but I'll be sure to show any changes in a photo edit. I'll show you the changes that are possible, by altering a photograph of your toy which will represent the final product. You'll now have a very good understanding of how the final product will look, and I'll be able to confirm exact pricing. With the sample approved as is, or with changes, it's time to think about going in to production.| back to top |
You have an approved sample, an exact price and now it's time to choose a quantity. I require a 50% deposit to get started. I'll write up a Letter of Agreement, which outlines what you want, what you're getting and how much it will cost you. When you place your deposit, I'll get my team in to action purchasing materials, establishing time lines and getting a production sample made to show any changes you requested to your prototype. (if required)
This stage requires very little input from you which can be frustrating for some clients, but the majority of my clients are busy putting together the event or trade show which the toy is meant for.
A significant difference you'll appreciate about my company is that I will be emailing you every single week with an update on my progress. You'll get weekly updates of your production and there will not be any surprises down the line. Clients who have had custom toys made with my competition (or other products as well) always comment how nice it was to get the weekly updates and be kept in the loop.
For quantities of 900 - 3,600 pieces, you may have to be flexible on material colors and exact material matches. At lower quantities, my material factory can't make custom materials for you, so I have to find a close match to your material in local markets. The majority of my clients order well over 6,000 pieces at a time, but if your needs are smaller this time, you'll need to be open to material and color alternatives. It may be as simple as being one Pantone shade (very close in color match, but a little lighter or a little darker) but the vast majority of your clients won't even notice. If matching the exact color and material is extremely important to you, you'll need to order a minimum of 3,600 - 6,000 pieces depending on the size of your toy, and the type of materials required.
Delivery is the part that is the most fun for you. It's exciting when you get to crack open that first box and see your new toys. It's fun for me too, because even if it's a high level corporate client, the giggles and squeals I hear when they call are rewarding. It's funny when grown adults with serious corporate backgrounds are gushing over how great their toys are.
You can have me ship your order to one location, multiple locations or directly to your trade show floor. I'll work with my logistic team to accommodate your needs. Some clients who need toys more quickly will air ship a portion of their toys, so they can get their promotion, branding or first trade show going. The balance of the toys will ship out to you by ground/ocean and will arrive a few weeks later.
It's important to me to hear how I've done so please feel free to get back to me with how your event went, and how the toy helped promote your company.
Straight to Production
The majority of my corporate mascot clients know they want the toys, see my quality and reputation and simply place a production order after determining if it will fit in to their budget. You can save as much as 4 weeks or more off of your total time line when going straight in to production. I cannot give an exact price before I make the first toy, but I can give a very close ballpark price which allows you to see whether the quantity of toys you need will work with your budget. I take the size of your toy ( length x width x height) and consider the quantity you are looking to purchase to provide a ballpark quote. The quote is based on thousands of toys I've made in the past resulting in a fairly accurate quote.| back to top |
You and I can take a look at what you want made, and we can discuss any features that may be unsafe, or may pose production issues.| back to top |
When you are comfortable, you'll place a 50% deposit. I'll get a sample made and sent to you. At that time, I can confirm the exact price, and you'll have one toy in your hands. If you need changes made, that is not a problem. Changes to the toy will add on to the time line, but there is no additional charge, unless new ideas are being introduced at this point where there may be nominal design fees.
If for some reason your toy comes in significantly above the ball park quote, or the toy cannot be made to meet your needs I'll refund 100% of your deposit. That rarely happens, but in the event that we can't move forward, you can expect a full refund.
Having started with production as opposed to waiting until you see a sample, you should see a savings of 4 weeks or more. Delivery can be rushed using air shipping which is not as inexpensive as ground/ocean shipping but you'll save an additional 3 to 4 weeks by shipping by air. I can give you a quote based on the size of your shipment and we can weigh the time savings with the expense of air shipping.| back to top |
